Watkinson Signs For The Reds

Colne Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of striker Owen Watkinson for the 2022-23 season.

Owen, 21, came through the youth set up at Blackpool FC with loan spells at Clitheroe and Curzon Ashton. He signed for Marine last season and helped them secure promotion with a string of impressive displays.

New Red Army Manager Phil Brown said: “Owen is a player we identified early.

I know the club looked at signing him last season but it didn’t materialise, I’m now really pleased that we have managed to bring him to the club. He will be a great signing for us and I am excited to work with him again.

Owen Watkinson said: “I’m delighted to sign for Colne. Once I talked to the gaffer it was a simple choice, and I can’t wait to get started for pre season and help get the club challenging at the right end of the table”
