First of all, on behalf of Glenn, Craig & myself, can I thank everyone for the kind messages since our appointment, they are all much appreciated.
Every manager will tell you that keeping current players and recruiting new ones is challenging. We have spoken to the current players & identified new players who we want. I’m confident we will be in a position to announce some familiar faces & a couple of new signings soon.
We are into week two of pre-season with the players and staff getting more accustomed and working hard.
We’ve had decent numbers in and everyone is looking forward to the new season.
On Saturday we travel to Squires Gate for our first game and I’m looking forward to watching the lads play. We have several people missing due to holidays, however this will help get more minutes into the legs of those who are available.
I’m really happy with our pre-season schedule, everyone knows it will be tough but as long as we approach it sensibly then it’s exactly what you want.
Sessions have gradually got harder and the teams we face will provide stern tests. The ones early on have been back in training for a while, whilst the ones we face later on are from higher up the pyramid.
Hopefully those who travel enjoy the game.
