Lee Pugh Moves On

Writer: Ben MetcalfeBen Metcalfe

Colne Football Club have today accepted an offer from Clitheroe FC for Club Captain Lee Pugh following a transfer request from the player.

Pugh, who joined the club under Steve Cunningham, formally expressed his desire to move on earlier this week following interest from Clitheroe FC.

Chairman Ryan Haigh commented “we as a Board and the Manager, didn’t want to lose Lee but he had already made his mind up. It was then about getting the best possible outcome for the club which I believe we have under the circumstances. Lee will always be welcome back at the club and we wish him well for the future”.
