Colne Football Club have reluctantly accepted an undisclosed offer from Macclesfield FC for defender Tom Dean.
The 29-year-old who had a spell in Macclesfield Town's youth setup prior to joining Mossley in 2013, expressed his wish to leave and join up with his hometown club.
Chairman Ryan Haigh said “we reiterated our desire for Tom to stay at the football club, but once he knew of Macclesfield’s interest his mind was made up.
Unfortunately these things happen in football, it’s not ideal and it doesn't help 24 hours before a big game, but Tom’s aspiration to complete the move was clear and we wish him all the best at Macclesfield FC and in the future.”
