A weekend of mixed fortunes for the reds as the first team suffere their first league defeat since the August bank holiday but, both the Ladies team and the Under 21's win at home.
Runcorn Linnets 2-0 Colne F.C.
Colne travelled to Runcorn Linnets looking to continue their fine form, but never really got going and went a goal down just before the break with the hosts shading the first half.
A much Improved second half saw Colne retain the ball much better, but offered very little in the final third and were put to sword in the final minute as they conceded a soft penalty, which the hosts took full advantage of.
Colne F.C. Ladies 4-1 Langho
The Ladies hosted Langho at Holt House on Sunday afternoon, looking to preserve their 100% record.
The ladies went 2 goals up thanks to Elise Howarth & Amelia Ripley, before Langho pulled a goal back.
The single goal lead was extended when Ripley grabbed a third for the reds, before Sophie Valentine denied Lango any chance of a comeback, with a great penalty save.
The game was put out of reach for the visitors when Courtney Wilkinson scored Colnes final goal.
Running out 4-1 Winners and staying top of the league, with Colne's superior goal difference sepereating them and Fleetwood.
Colne FC U21's 4-1 Coppull United U21's
The Under 21's backed up last weekends result with another impressive performance as Peter Ellis' young lions look to challenge at the top of the league.
Despite being a goal down at Half Time, the young reds fought back with 2 goals from Mohammed Butt & a goal a piece from Adam Hodge and Rory Cormack.
The result leaves the under 21's in third place, with 6 points from their opening 3 games in their debut season.
