The Reds Secure Sam O'Halleron!

Colne Football Club can confirm striker, Sam O’Halleron, has become Head Coach Nathan Rooney’s 14th signing of the summer.

O’Halleron, who signed for Fleetwood Town in December 2016 and subsequently signed pro forms with the League One side in May 2019, is a hard working, energetic striker and instinctive finisher.

Rooney said “I’m delighted we managed to secure Sam. In my opinion the squad was solid but has lacked goals over the last two campaigns. Obviously I’ve known of Sam for the last couple of years and as I left for Crawley his performances for Fleetwood were being noticed from the top and resulted in Joey Barton offering him a pro deal. For various reasons it hasn’t worked out for him, but he now has the grit between his teeth and a point to prove.”

O’Halleron commented “I’m delighted to get this opportunity at Colne F.C.. It’s going to be good already knowing the gaffer and a number of lads he’s already brought in and I can’t wait to meet the rest of the lads, the staff and get started. I’m here to score goals and repay the gaffers confidence in me”

With the latest announcements around Government guidelines now being relaxed, the first team squad will look to start pre-season training within the few weeks, once a season start date is confirmed.
