Colne F.C. implement Match-day REUSABLE pint cup system

As part of reducing our carbon footprint, the club is to implement a reusable pint cup system on First Team Match-days, replacing the disposable cup system which is commonly used around all football grounds.

The new reusable cups – colored Red and White and incorporating the clubs crest will be introduced for the first time at Saturday’s FA Trophy tie against Buxton FC at The Sovereign Play Stadium.

The cups themselves are made from 100% recyclable material and have been sourced from Green Goblet. They are sturdier than the standard plastic cups previously used, which should hopefully make for a more enjoyable drinking experience.

As a Community Football Club, we are committed to making our Match-days ‘Greener’. The removal of ‘single use’ rubbish ensures less rubbish to dispose of and therefore, less landfill.

They are also a perfect take-home souvenir specifically branded to the club.

This is how it all works:

A deposit of £2 is added when the customer buys their first drink on a Matchday.

For their next drink, they can bring their empty cup back to the bar and have it exchanged for a clean one.

When they have finished their final drink, they can either return the cup to the bar and exchange it for their deposit, or take it home as a souvenir

New, unused cups are also available at £2.99 (no drink purchase necessary)

Please note, a maximum of 5 cups can be returned to the bar at any one time.
